If you only store the base game components than the product won't lift the lid, but the New discoveries boards lift the lid a little (separate storage for the boards is suggested).
This product does not require assembly.
Tested with premium sleeved cards.

Insert size: 30,9 cm x 22,3 cm x 5,1 cm.
